The Impact of Information and Communication Technologies on Competitiveness: Evidence from MENA Countries

Information and communication technologies (ICTs) have recently emerged as a snowballing phenomenon that orient competitiveness strategies. They are vital critical aspect for countries to not only improve their global competitiveness, but they also accomplish long-term growth. Latest developments in the Middle East North African (MENA) render region be an appealing case study. This study aims at investigating impact of ICTs supporting sample (13) MENA during period from 2010 2021. To this purpose, employs econometric model utilizes dynamic Generalized Method Moments (GMM) estimator. Moreover, results confirmed by implementing two models. The first measured indicator which is networked readiness index (NRI). second individuals using internet (IUI) both models was (GCI). findings indicated (NRI) significant positive on countries. recommended should inevitably accelerate procedures developing support ICT infrastructure order increase competitiveness.
